Daniel and I have created a new free WP7 app for the community. Unfortunately we have been told that it failed marketplace certifcation because we are not allowed to publish a web browser app!
Update: Thanks marketplace guys! We have been told to resubmit because of internal miscommunication.
Here is some highlights of the app. We think it's pretty neat...
• Tabbed browsing. Flick to move between tabs or jump to a tab by selecting it from a list of all tabs.
• Full-screen viewing. Maximise screen real estate by switching to full-screen view. Switch back instantly using a semi-transparent button.
• Open links in their own tabs. With Surfy you can open links either in the same tab or in a new tab.
• Autocomplete - searches as you type.
• Supports landscape and portrait orientations.
• Supports locking of page orientation.
• Assisted browsing with auto-complete. Surfy suggests links by searching the web as you type in the URL box.
• Set your default page.
• Manage Favorites.
• Share a page/link via email.
• Open in Internet Explorer.
• Comprehensive help.
• A user feedback system where you can report a bug, or suggest new features to help make Surfy better.
• It's free!

Daniel published a very cool, higly addictive game for Windows Phone 7. It is an implementation of the well known classic Sokoban game. It comes with 50 levels of varying difficulty and is very challenging and rewarding. You can check out the free trial here. The game has many challening levels but I think the best thing about it are the controls. You can resize the game grid by performing a pinch gesture on the screen, and flick or drag the screen around while playing. Moving the cubes is also much better then in other sokoban games. Just position the main character next to the cube you want to push, tap on the cube, and then tap on a cell you want to push the cube into. The great thing is that if there are no obstacles the main character will move to any cell you tap on in a shortest possible way. It also has a settings page and undo, redo buttons.

"Does exactly what it says. Great app by @katkavaughan."
"This should of been built into the phone v.nice app. =D worth the price... Improvments (Updat) 1. Stop map reload every time you open a different image in same location. 2. Put map markers off all images in album and select them from the map."
"Good app. Would be nice to save map location picture."

My first app on the windows phone marketplace has just been published! The certification process was smooth and fast and took less than a day. The application is a must have for those who like to take lots of photos while travelling and subsequently forget where they took those photos. My app will show you the geographical location of your photo on a map. You can select your photo either from the application or you can access Photo Location while browsing through your pictures on the Pictures Hub. Of course your photo will have to include the GPS information for Photo Location to be able to place it on a map, but the good news is that your phone camera can already do that.

I am pleased to announce that I have just published my second article on codeproject. This article is a first part of the Calicum FAQ series. Calcium is an open source WPF and Silverlight (alpha release) framework built on top of the Composite Application Library (also known as PRISM). It provides support for the MVVM pattern as well as advanced module management, client-server logging, theme support, an Undo/Redo/Repeat task management system, and also abstraction of user messaging and file management.
